SVG images not showing in Joomla

 SVG image files not showing in Joomla 6 backend

In this example, SVG files are displaying on the website frontend but cant be seen in the Joomla Administrator backend

Allow SVG files in Joomla

Change the following settings in Global Configuration - Media to allow SVG files

System - Global Configuration


Media - Allowed Extensions

,svg

Media - Legal Image Extensions (File Types) 

,svg

Media - Legal MIME Types 

,image/svg+xml

Save
